The Computer Program at Resurrection Christian Academy has expanded to include other grades.  While the Grade 8s have had a formal computer course, the other grades are now getting more formal computer time in our well equipped lab.*  Below are some examples of what they are learning.

JK, SK, Grade 1 & 2 - educational games/exercises.

Grade 3 - Mathletics online, educational games

Grade 4 - Typing Adventure online, Mathletics, educational games

Grade 5 - Typing Agent, Mathletics, introduction to Word, folder & file basics.

Grade 6 - Typing Agent, Mathletics, advanced Word techniques & introduction to presentation software.

Working closely with the computer instructor, the teachers are finding ways to utilize the technology by integrating it’s use into the standardized curriculum.

*We have a fully equipped computer lab with video projection, surround sound, wireless technology and other impressive features. Computers are also available in the library and in all classrooms except Pre-JK.  Most are linked to the internet and allow students to do research, work on assignments or just sharpen their computer skills.  We also have a SMART Board and the students are enjoying this new method of interactive learning.  All student computers are filtered for content to assure only appropriate material is accessed.
