Fostering the Arts

 

 

RCA has a dynamic Music & Art program that is offered to all students.  We rotate an annual History Fair, Art Fair, and Music Fair encouraging all students to get involved, try new mediums, and enjoy the experience.  Other regular features include:-

• Worship team for weekly chapel (Grade 4+)

• Annual Christmas and spring musical and theatre productions - all students participate

• Primary choir - PJK, JK & SK - English and French

• Elementary and Upper School Choir - Grades 1 to 8

• Weekly RCA music instruction and lessons include the study of ukulele, recorder, voice, percussion, and band instruments as well as music history and students learning how to write their own music

• Formal art instruction and classes including a variety of styles and mediums as part of curriculum for all grades

• Themed art projects and presentations

• Field trips to art museums and drama workshops

• Onsite music instruction through private lessons by a trained teacher in piano and voice
