Miss Baumann earned a two-year Biblical Studies Diploma from Kawartha Lakes Bible College. She also studied at Heritage Baptist College and earned a Bachelor of Christian Education.  As well, she maintains an educators certificate from the Association of Christian Schools International.  Miss Bauman specializes in English Literature and Art.  This year her teaching instruction time will focus on the Arts.

“Teaching at Christian schools has been a blessing in my life.  I enjoy the opportunity to share my faith with my students in various contexts.  I also enjoy the freedom of being able to use my creativity and encourage my students to do the same.  It is exciting to see a class grow and mature so they are ready to face the world.  My favourite aspect of teaching is getting to know my students inside and outside the classroom.   Through the time spent together, I love to discover the individual gifts God has given my students and encourage them to use their abilities to serve others.”

Mrs. Wright - Grade 3/4 Homeroom

Mrs. Wright has been teaching at Resurrection Christian Academy for over 5 years. She has an Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of Waterloo. Her degree has a focus on developmental psychology, learning exceptionalities, and childhood psychopathology. After the completion of her Education Degree, she worked as an Educational Assistant in a Senior Kindergarten class and as Supervisor of an After-School Program. Prior to her full-time employment at RCA, she worked as a supply teacher at a number of independent schools.

Since the beginning of her employment at RCA, she has taught Grades 2-4, as well as Grade 5 mathematics. One of the many reasons she loves teaching at RCA is because of the school environment. -

“The community that is established between staff, students, and families is incredible. It is welcoming, supportive, and an enjoyable place to be each day of the week!”

Outside of teaching, Mrs. Wright enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves to watch classic movies and go on day trips. She has a passion for horses, having ridden them since she was 5 years of age. She loves all animals, especially cats.

Mrs. Wright does her best to instill the following Bible verse into her students:

And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ - Matthew 22:39 NIV

“Application of this verse will foster a classroom environment that is loving towards all of God’s Children. My hope is for students to extend this belief outside of the classroom and into the rest of their lives!”

"I feel so blessed to be able to have my first classroom at a school that impacted my life so much as a child. It brings me so much joy to be able to share my faith with my students and continue RCA's mission of inspiring children to love learning and to love the Lord."

Mrs. Hallock - JK/SK Homeroom

Mrs. Hallock received her Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Youth studies from Brock University, with a primary focus on child development, education, and behaviour, mental and learning disabilities. During her educational journey she enjoyed various teaching placements specifically in primary grades and after school reading programs.

She has a true passion for working with our youngest learners! Helping each child progress in all areas of their development, academics, social, language and motor is a challenge that she is honoured to accept daily. Mrs. Hallock strives to create a classroom of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment

Mrs. Hallock’s education began in Christian education and truly believes Christian education makes a difference in the lives of the students as it did for her. She had many placements and teaching experiences in public schools within Ontario and realized quite quickly she wanted to teach in a Christian school environment. Resurrection Christian Academy offers a space for children to feel safe and understood, and when a child feels safe and understood the best learning happens. At RCA we pour into our students and instill in them that they are a child of God, made in His image and who are dearly loved by their Heavenly Father. More than anything we strive to create a safe place where our students can grow mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually without limitations.

Mrs. Hallock has two young children and enjoys camping in their trailer in the summer and adventurous activities, where they can enjoy the sunshine and swimming.  She also enjoys baking, cooking, and shopping.

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well.” Psalm 139:14
